This may seem trivial, but I've heard and read online that bathroom showers in England often have low water pressure, and that a special contraption needs to be installed to have what are called, "power-showers," which are showers that have good pressure like those in the US. My question is: why are showers with good pressure so difficult to install in England? In the US, every old house or other dwelling can easily be retrofitted if necessary with good water pressure for a shower with relative ease. What's the problem in England with spreading this (seemingly) simple technology? |

I just mentioned that because it seemed like that was the only solution possible in the UK. Is it that water mains are holding less pressure or something? |

Often work off of a cold water mains supply heated through element/coil. But I seem to remember the power showers consuming something like 20 times more water to what we use today. |
