Do low-class types like me still encounter the "down the nose" look from the upper class types? Do any still expect to be greeted with, "my lord"? |

A dear friend of mine who is quite upper class has a great expression for these people who look down on others - LMC - Lower Middle Class! I really think that the old working class has gone now - most of the people who would have been considered working class in the past don't work now - they claim benefits! I think most people who do work consider themselves middle class if you know what I mean!!!!

Upper Middle Class- (new money) lottery millionairs, 'a' listed TV celebs, and serious criminals. The Upper Class- Those who think they are but dodge paying tax by employing accountants to find loopholes or move their money abroad to avoid same. |
