Holy Trinity Church in Headington Quarry, Oxford was built through the years June 1848 - November 1849. It is one of the younger Churches in England taking seventeen months to build. The cost of the building was £3,000 and the money was raised by voluntary effort.

Born in Belfast C. S. Lewis had a little dog called Jacksy (or Jacksie) of whom he was, as a ten year old boy, very fond. Sadly Jacksy was run over and killed by one of the first motorised vehicles in Ireland. Lewis decided to remember his beloved pet dog by being called 'Jacksy' himself and over the years 'Jacksy' became 'Jacks' became 'Jack'.
