If it was done right...and accurately...it could be really good!

The way Robin Hood is depicted in the US, it's as if he were (horrors!) a revolutionary republican, or at least a leveler (sp?).  Everyone wants to be just like us Americans, we are always told; we're "the most democratic nation in the world."
