We are a young early 30's and would like to love in a suburb that has access to London, as well as a safe town/ city, with country side appeal. I am a teacher, are there better district/ or towns than others to teach in? Any ideas? Any additonal information would be most appreciated. Thanks so much! Your friends across the pond |

In the meantime for ideas, why not look at a map and follow the train lines out of London. From Paddington west out of London; Euston heading north, Waterloo station to the southwest and so on. Then have a look at the towns they go through after leaving London. Ofsted is the governing body that deals with reports on schools if their reports are online? I know some are that I've read. |

The suggestion above from Paul makes sense, but I hope you have a pretty healthy bank balance if you want to settle in those areas! I think Paul sums it up really, follow the train lines OUT of London. |

Even though I'm half British my father neglected to register me with a B. consulate or the embassy in Wash. DC prior to age 18 so I was just another foreigner and told I would be taking a job from a British subject. That goes for your boyfriend also. But, good luck, you never know. Paul, is that a pic from your high school days in Colorado? |
