Like you have my music on the pc. Haven't been out at new year for probably more than 10 years. Too much hassle. Have to be out early to stand any chance of a seat and also have to pay to get into most places now........stuff that......so the usual quiet night in and if i feel like it go to bed before the new year....done plenty of them so don't mind missing one now and again......specially if Anne's at work......the cat finds it diccifult to hold a glass to toast the new year |

Thatt's brilliant! There's too much work to prepping for Christmas to have it all be over in one day. I wish they'd bring back the Old World tradition of the Twelve Days of Christmas. BTW, today is Day 9 of the 12 days. When I was a girl, we never decorated the house until Christmas Eve and kept the tree up until Epiphany on Jan. 6. Even people who didn't celebrate Epiphany at least left the tree up until New Year's Day. The Christmas hype starts waaaay too early now (like mid-November), so that most people spend Boxing Day undecorating. I think that's kind of sad, really. |
