It was during the 1986 World Cup, and as we are both big footy fans it was a dream come true. (Please - no jokes abour 'scoring' or being sent off for misconduct ) The weather was glorious and ever since we have considered Ambleside to be 'our place' - even though we now live in a very beautiful area. Any more POE'ers have an English Honeymoon? |

It was late October 1984, the weather was perfect, the leaves on the trees were well into their Autumn glory and when we were kicked out of our room by the cleaners, we went for long walks around the beautiful countyside. We have been back several times, the last time was for our 20th anniversary in 2004. |

But I have to say it was a trill of a lifetime. I`m still thanking my husband for that trip. |
