Good afternoon Ron. I have a little surprise for you my friend, today I spent a very pleasant few hours off work and roamed along the canal at Melbourne (East Yorkshire). Nothing very spectacular about that, I hear you say, but wait........I saw a cuckoo!!!! I didn't hear it mind you, but I did see it and what's more I managed to get a picture of it. I shall upload it with a few pictures of the canal and then you will see for yourself. April 27th is long gone now, but I reckon we're close enough today (06/05/08). Andy.

It's a Cuckoo, Jen. A parasitic bird who is a harbinger of spring. It has a lovely evocative call, cuckoo, cuckoo, I can't wait to hear one next week.
