It was at the bottom of the garden quite a way from the house and up a pretty good slope. My Grandam, who lived to the age of 92, used to cart water up the hill every day. I didn't know her, as she died before I was born. She was a tiny woman, slender, but she must have been made of pretty sturdy stuff. |
