I thought a bonus was to reward you for doing a good job! Whats all this about then, another b....y  silly decision from our rotten Government at our, the taxpayers expense! C'mon, somebody please explain to me why Civil Servants should get a £7k bonus for doing a job of work within a failed Government!! How much per week does that equate to and what did Pensioners get? It's enough to make you physically sick and has got to stop....bring on the BNP. Hopefully, they will aim to clean this place up once and for all getting rid of all the perks for the boys and girls!

Where I worked for 19 years, the annual bonus was Xmas lunch in the canteen worth £2.50 which I always declined.  Where I now work, no Xmas bonus of any sort, and Xmas Day is normal working too; you don't even get that off.  £135 per week Ron, as I'm sure you've worked out anyway.

I was a Civil Servant for 18 months Ron. Take home pay was £11 per week; no bonuses of any description----but I did get Xmas and Boxing Day off !  Back to work New Years Day as it wasn't a public holiday, as some might recall. Only in Scotland at the time, I think?
