Good work John and Ray!

I tried singing at church one day, everybody in rows ahead of me got up and left. LOL!  I have a great speaking voice but can't carry a tune in a bucket.

.. you could definitely pass by as the 5th Beatle in that new avatar of yours though ;-)

I thought you might ask me why, Maria? Well, that was yesterday....and a bit more. I guess you might not have seen the play--John, Paul, George, Ringo, and Bert? Well, do you want to know a secret? That's wasn't about me. My high school teachers said to forget rock and roll, but I should have known better. The photo was taken a few minutes after I'd said love me do, or something like that--it had the word "do" in it anyway. Some guy at the rear of the church said--she loves you, but I just screamed, Help!. She said I want to hold your hand; off we went, took a flight out as I had a ticket to ride. I've been working eight days a week ever since, and now doing another hard days night here at my desk. So, that's about it Maria; the story of my Beatle era days, though I didn't listen to them much. I think I remembered everything? Oh yeah--P.S. I love you. Smile

Oh yeah Paul, that's a bridal veil squished next to your face, isn't it? Oh, I want to see the whole picture now.

You look so young! But then anyone under the age of 35 looks 'so young' to me.

I liked you last post, very clever.

A good guess Sue; I was hoping you'd think I was stood next to some lace curtains on the washing line, but that looks like it won't wash after all.  Under 35? Not far off, just comming up 26. Like to see the whole picture?  I think I would too--I've been trying to figure it out for years!  But, only because it's you (and I don't do this sort of thing for every pretty lady in sunglasses, you know ) I'll sort it on it's way....

Yes, indeed...and funny as well :)

Do you have any regret, Paul?  About forgetting rock and roll , or anything else I mean.... (Here it is, that might be my answer for 'your biggest fear' thread : having regrets... )

I have considered your queston for some time tonight, Maria. Yes, I do have regrets though I wouldn't consider them as fears of course.  In some respects, I'd consider I was a success; in others, I'd consider I was a failure. In school my parents expectations of me were very high across the board; that also extended into my life from there on. As at school, I was good at some things and not so good at others, as happened when I set out on my own long ago to my parents high expectations of what they considered I should be. So, my biggest regret is not being the person I was, but the person I was expected to be. Many years later that then happened and became reasonably successful by those who measure success by money. But then, some of the hardest things to obtain in life has turned out to be those that are free. So if I have any regrets it would be not spending enough time looking at what was free and not appreciating it more when you got it.

Thanks for your answer, Paul.  Yes, I know only too well what you mean by parents and their high expectations lol.

It is so true what you say about the best things in life coming for free, and that they are the hardest to obtain as well.  The fact is that, to me, success depends mostly on you basically; you set your mind on a target, you work hard for it, you are likely to succeed. If you don't, you just go back and see where you've gone wrong and act accordingly.  But, as far as other things, don't know.....i sometimes feel more like a little sailboat in the ocean; all you can do is hoping to be lucky.
