It makes for a long hot day in the Summer, and is not popular with farmers. |

Somewhat ditto here Jason, with 7 nights on/ 3 off, so the first day off is spent in bed mostly. On the odd occasions, have had to go out the first day, so ends up over 24 hours before you finally get to bed, by which time your feeling pretty tired. This week's Saturday shift will go to 13 hours, with the extra hour unpaid. Edited by: Paul Hilton at:23rd October 2008 01:28 |

It gets so confusing when we all change in different months, and then some states in America don't even change, how confusing is that I ask you. The reason they started it was for the farmers, but that was many years ago when their lives revolved around the early equipment. Now they have the technology to work all night if they wish to. Last year while visiting my cousin who lives high on the Wiltshire hills, I could see a tractor cultivating the land way into the darkness. You could see him going back and forth across the fields by his high beams. I ramble, and now I have to close down for the night. Have a great day Wolf. |
