What mindless, lowlife yobs they are! The ambulance answered a 999 call and whilst dealing with the patient, mindless yobs break into the ambulance by smashing the windows to grab the SatNav worth about £200.00

I hope the culprits are found and lashed many times you mindless idiots! Of course I know that won't happen, you will probably be given a holiday, an ipod or something similar. Dosen't it just make you so mad, they have everything in this beautiful land of ours yet choose to destroy it.

it is the same here Ron,the big thing is copper, people are comming home to find all the copper piping stolen ,ripping up the insides, and here in Colorado, there is a new law against "puffing"wich is starting your car in front of your home to let it warm up in winter, due to all the thefts of said cars while the owner is inside.

Had it happen to me in Burton, answering a 999, a breathing problem, while we were in the house some scumbag decided to smash the window of the ambulance and steal the sat nav screen!!  thing is the screen isn't the sat nav! its useless on its own.

Rick---And how do owner's of cars stolen this way get on with ther insurance claims? Over here, leaving your keys in the car when stolen---running or not---is a good way to very possibly having your claim rejected as you haven't complied with the policies' terms.

If you did this on a public highway, you'd be commiting an offence anyway.

Despicable incidents, both. What if the person you were helping, Jason, had needed to get to the hospital asap?

Interesting point, Paul.  I wonder how that works if you have a remote start on your car, and it's stolen?  Although, I think those are designed to kill the engine if someone tries to engage the car without disarming the remote first.

It's a pity that it does not do something similar to the thief Di.

You lose out on your policy, yet people want the convienance,so silly, really.

yet i wonder how long it will be before we hear about the same with emergency service vehicles.
