But alas yes that appears to be the price that this nasty Government and BAA who own Heathrow Airport are prepared to pay for another runway at Heathrow. To demolish 700 homes is bad enough, but demolish a Church and bulldoze a graveyard? I wonder how you would feel members if it were your loved ones buried there? Indeed some of you may be affected. Personally, I feel existing Heathrow facilities should be made sufficient, made more environmentally friendly, more accessible. There is however a glimmer of hope for the people likely to be affected most by this decision, a Conservative Government at the next election have vowed to scrap the project, but at what cost by then? No wonder our beautiful country is broke! |

But, if please God forbid we get another Labour Government, these poor people are doomed, like the rest of us! |

(maybe they already have?) there had also been talk at one time about using RAF Alconbury, as the flying side is no longer used. all they use it for now is to park trucks on it. however, i believe the locals ruled out using for any kind of flying because of the noise, but it would have brought in more jobs.....

As for destroying villages and grave robbing this government do not care if they act within or without of the law. They will do exactly as they want and that s why they should be ousted soon. |
