It's the fault of this country Ron. They hand out too much money to the scumbags who have children just for the handouts they get but don't want to take care of the children. It makes me so sad for the poor children who are put through all the pain and suffering and the ones who suffer neglect. We have a decline of morals here and I don't know where it will end.

I agree entirely Stephanie, makes you sick to think that some can harm the poor little kids, who only yearn love! Further, if the parents don't want them why don't they hand them to a couple that will love them forever?

The worse you are in this country, the more you get. Welfere handouts should be tightened, lazy a******s made to work instead, they won't have time nor the money to even think about having more kids.

I need a solicitor, I can't afford one! I have 2 (crappy) jobs. If I was a theiving scumbag or even a murderer, I'd get one. FREE!

I'm getting off my soap box before I rant too much! My blood boils....Sealed

There are people in this country who are paid handsomely to protecet children from this kind of abuse.

I do think thouh that at times soial workers hands are tied with political correctness and I am sure would act on a childs behalf if they felt able todo so without the PC brigade getting to them.

We also have to consider if we provide the kind of society that allows  people the priveldge of having enough money to feed the habits that cause themto neglect and abuse their children we must look to our own selves.

Barb, I too get indignantly righteous about this subject. My mother worked three jobs to support 5 children, but because she reported her earnings honestly she was denied assistance. Meanwhile, the common law couple next door to us had 5 children and one on the way because, according to them, they could get more money per month by not being married, and the more children they had the more money they got as well.

It's enough to make the blood boil, isn't it? Yell

1) I apologise to anyone offended for my 'naughty' word which has now been edited! Sorry, my blood boils and my mouth goes off on one!Embarassed

2)  Diana, your mom's situation is typical of here! I worked as a single parent, (I was divorced, I didn't choose to be single) and I was penalised! Had I sat on my butt or cheated the benefit's system, I would have been financially better off. I, at any rate can keep my head up. I'm proud of myself.

Anyway, your mum deserves a medal and I'm sure you are all proud of her too. I admire her. Kiss
