I have been talking with Dave Brooker who owns website Mapping Ideas Ltd. Dave has kindly offered to produce the artwork at no cost to POE. Although he is busy for a couple of days he has told me that he will comment here in the forum shortly and give us an idea as to what he thinks could/should be done to take this project forward. The members might like to consider how we choose the twelve photographs to be used. Should it be left to POE, the members, should they vote on it etc. So lets see what Dave comes up with in a couple of days and in the meantime any further ideas? Any Printers out there who want to get involved?

How exciting!  I can't wait to own one!  Where's the queue?

I can't imagine a more daunting task than selecting only 12 or so photos from the vast array we have here.  If I were to have to choose, I think I would try to go with representations of certain areas, aspects, characteristics, etc. of England.  When I shop for my annual England/Britain calendar, I usually look for one that contains photos of gardens, castles, cottages, coastal scenes, rural countryside, cathedrals/abbeys, and the like.  Others might prefer to see other subject matter.

I would be happy with POE deciding which photos are chosen for the maiden calendar, or perhaps put up some suggestions and let the members vote on their favorites from the proposed collection.  Alternatively, the members could put forth a small selection of their favorites and let POE make the final choices.

Okay, that's my tuppence worth. Smile

Ah yes, well you see Michael, I hadn't thought about your initials had I? But in fact Maria has been known to me for some considerable time as just 'MG'. I have had to thank MG for many a poke at Ron, no I mean ummm, errr, what do I mean.....better get this right or she'll dream up some other form of electronic device to zap me!! Remember the 'Ronote control' MG? Hmmm! And thanks for putting the members right Michael.

By the way MG, thanks for taking the initiative and getting the calendar up and running. I reckon the comments from the members thus far means that it's going to be very popular and your name will be all over the world. We love you MG!

Well, not quite. Mine were only sketches/suggestions and as such open to anyone to edit or improve. I've been asked to move on only this morning and I will but I am a good team worker as well.

For our Ron, I propose for him the ungrateful task to find a suitable way to choose the pictures lol
