Hello friends,

I'm thinking about writing some short scenes for a sort of revue at my local village hall in Oakridge, Gloucestershire - something to celebrate my village and England as a whole.

However, I am rather suffering from writers' block!

Does anybody have any ideas about what could be in the scenes or any characters they think I should include? Or any songs we could sing? I was going to set one scene on an English seaside beach as that just cries out 'England' to me!

Any ideas, or is this just a dreadful idea?

Thanks,

Rose

hi rose. research your village, try your local library reference section. can i suguest a 'Dads army', type sketch baseed around your village during the last war. make it a comedy with 'Last of the summer wine' type characters. Should be fun for both actors and audiance.

see this site for some ideas Lol-

Thanks Michael, that's a wonderful idea.

I've been talking to some villagers and have been feeling inspired.

Anyone else have any good ideas?
