I know it's a prison, but it also holds court as well. Anyways, we could go and have a look round this day and it was fantastic. They showed us the court rooms, (which are still used) and the old dungeons, as well as other things. The last famous people up in court there were The Birmingham Six, and another one was The Pendle Witches. Well worth a visit. You could always come and visit the museum where I work at in Millom, you would be very welcome. |

Not only are the collections wonderful, but it is worth the trip just to watch the curators wind up their life-sized 18th century silver swan automaton and marvel at its life-like movements. World class museums by anyone's standards with lots of interesting things to see. |

Had a go at Glyding there too, They also had an indoor running arena. some good times, a right B.......D!. Flight Sergent in the Gatehouse, used to jump on you for breathing lol! Not been down there since, but fond memories. |
