I know in this world of political correctnes we are all scared to suggest anything but this is fair and a chance for them to help regian the country for themselves. I know something similar was done in Bosnia as a friend of mine went over to train a police force of local people during the troubles. |

However, there is an element seeking the (easy?) option of coming to Britain. As I understand it, the word seems to be that Britain is a wonderful refuge with money and homes galore just waiting to be given away! The fact is, Britain is at breaking point as the strain on our underlying infrastructure can testify. We do not have enough social housing, our schools are unable to cope with the numbers of new pupils and our NHS is at meltdown with under-staffing, under-funding and the inability to cope with the influx of so many new patients. As for employment prospects, well I think two million unemployed speaks for itself! I'm afraid that like most(?) people, I too take a hard line on the subject of migrants. If it were complete families living in these camps genuinely in fear of their lives, then maybe I would take a more compassionate stance, but take a closer look and you will notice the majority consists of young men from early teens to mid and late twenties age groups. Surely these are the men that their countryfolk would rely on to build a new future? Whilst on this subject, I will take advantage of this platform to voice my concerns vis-a-vis "2012 The Olympic Games". The government seems to think that spending around nine billion pounds on hosting the games for ten days is fully justified, despite all of the above (and more) shortfalls in our services. So intent on impressing the rest of the world with our abilty to host the games (why?), they are relaxing many long standing princibles to ensure that the event is enjoyed and visited by as many as would wish to do so. However, this surely must beg the question, how relaxed will our borders become? How many of the illegal migrants which we are trying to control entry of, will now be free to enter Britain on the pretext of visiting the events and thence becoming yet another 'invisible' statistic? |

As for the olimpics of 2012, the forth coming rugby world cup and the possible football world cup our immigration service will be streched to breaking point this next decade. |
