I read an article that stated there were an even greater number of cases, particularly among children, in the southern US. It also seems to be a particular risk to pregnant women, as their immune systems are depressed. In the past few weeks, I've heard reports of many students at local universities (Georgetown in DC and Univ. of Maryland, to name two) having swine flu. I just got my ordinary seasonal flu shot on Tuesday, and my doctor said he would have swine flu vaccinations at some point but doesn't know when. |

Trouble is with the doctors not checking people and there just being this "helpline" or "internet diagnosis" how many of these people have just had a bad virus or cold like the way poor Sol has been this week. Half of them probably didn't have swine flu! Edited by: Stephanie Jackson at:3rd October 2009 08:29 |

Seriously, i'm not sure, we still go to a lot of cases of ?swine flu, but there's not many that are actually confirmed, anyone with a slight temp is now fair game to be ?swine flu it seems. Having said that i've heard it will get bad, and theres a possibility of another strain tagging on the back of it. But who really knows, its always just speculation, we just have to wait and see, theres not really anything we can do about it. |
