I'm back from New York City, and I'm in love.

What a fantastic place! I went not expecting to like it, too big, too noisy, too many people. I came home with plans to return.

So much to do, so much to see, the people were... well, not overly friendly, but no guns or knives or anything.

If you haven't been to NYC, I'd suggest saving your pennies. It's WONDERFUL!

Glad you had a great time, Sue.  I've not been to NY in donkey's years Smile, but when we were children we only lived 2 hours from there and the highlight of the summer was to go there to shop for school clothes.  My husband's people still live in PA, so next time we go back to visit them, we plan on a few days in NY.

I still think I'd rather be in Devon......(sigh)

Last year at this time we were enjoying the beauty (and wonderful people - you know who you are) of the British Isles.  Kiss

Sue! What did you see while in NYC? I live so close but never seem to go very often!! My Sammie and her dad go on a regular basis! They take their bikes with them. Sam and I do have plans to go to the Met Museum of Art. Did you go there?

Shaun...good to see you back!!

Sue I am so jealous, but so glad you had a great trip.  And Krissy making plans to visit England, I am now all shades of green! lol.

It's lovely to see everyone returning to the forums and livening things up, and I look forward to seeing you all on the "English Counties - whistle stop tours".
