Krissy, planning for a trip to England is half the fun! Driving is the best way to see the English countryside. Also, if you want to visit London, consider staying in one of the nearby counties (those that ring London) and take day trips in to save accommodation money. I found that Buckinghamshire, eastern Oxfordshire or Essex are ideal for this. Also, if you stay in Oxford (an incredible town!) you can take the Oxford Espress bus (formerly the Oxford Express, I believe) or an Oxford Tube coach into London at almost any time. Have you thought about renting cottages--because they have full kitchens, there is quite a savings food-wise over B&B's. Also, when you go (notice that I didn't say "if"), make sure Ron buys you dinner at least once!

And thanks Krissy and Cathy--my avatar is "Papa" and Eva Lucia, whom I seem to be able to get to sleep when no one else can!

Rob! I was planning on staying in a cottage. It's seems perfect...home for a week!! And the prices are really good, especially in the off season! But deciding on where to visit was the really hard part! Thanks for the tips!

Krissy--do you have any particular area in mind regarding a cottage rental?
