It is in my childhood village, and I would pass it on the way to school for many, many years. I have never thought to take a picture of it, so thank you, Ron. Picture by Ron Brind

I could bolt the doors front and rear, yes that would stop her getting to Anna and I. Trouble is that Sue knows the area too well. Hi Sue...great picture eh? lol |

I wonder how many English pubs have a small, sloping parking area. Its quite odd. Still, I bet its not your pub of choice. One of the pubs on the High Street maybe? Although I've heard one of them is an Indian (or is it Chineese?) Take-Away now. |

I would guess this is your problem? And Sue - you know where we live so we are forever looking out of the windows for you. Of course if we were to spot you we would lock the doors and hide! lol The only pubs in the High Street now are the King and Queen and the Kings Arms up the top end. The Common Rooms opposite Greasy Ron's are long gone, bet you remember them eh?

Which reminds me, Ron, no picture of the Bird and Baby? I think there's one among my husband's pix. If I find it, I'll post it. In the meantime, I love the name of this pub:

No Music, gaming machines are hidden away and you can actually hear the person next to you talking to you....whether you want to or not!!!. John, the landlord, can be the most miserable bu**er on the face of the earth. But it is a cracking place to be. A basic English pub for drinking ........... Picture by Dave John
