I submitted two pictures, one of Pishill, Oxfordshire and the other Thame, oxfordshire but I see neither in My Pictures. Did they get through or am I having a problem?

Also while I am at it (asking questions that is) I have some lovely pictures taken in and around Hay-on-Wye in Wales, can I post them on POE?

Submit them again Sue, and if you've doubled up you can always delete them yourself.

I tired again but it says a problem occurred. Guess it must be too big, though it's taken on the same camera as the others.

I'll have to play around and see what I can do.

Some of my pictures download and some don't. I find that odd, but I'm sure there is an expanation.

I'll try to figure out how to make them smaller.

Hi Sue.

I have had simular problems in the past, it all came down to the size of the picture.  If the picture is more than 5mb it will not get through.  Try and reduce the picture size by reducing it to 2000 pixels wide, or crop out the bits that are not required. Even if the pictures were taken with the same camera, they can contain different amounts of information, thus the size differenc.

Regards Roy j.

I've never had to change the size of my pics to post them on here and I take really HUGE ones, the only one i've had to do that do is the avavtar one.

Sue.....have you taken some in a different format from jpeg etc? If so then that may be your problem, maybe POE cant accept them?

Hi Sue, Roy is right, although taken on the same camera photos will be different sizes. The more detail in them, the bigger the file size. If you hold the mouse pointer over the thumbnail in your photo folder, it will tell you the size of the file. You will find that there is a difference in size with most of your photos. Although there is a limit of 5 mb for uploads on the site, I found that keeping the photos just under this limit allows all photos to be uploaded. Hope this helps.
