I'll bet they're very cool, Peter.  We have some pretty cool ones here too.  Here's a couple of links:

I've been trying to find my photo of The Carvern in Liverpool in 1973, but do you think I can find it???

The closest caverns to me are at Cheddar Gorge. Always pretty these type of underground places with their rock formations. Another world beneath our feet.

An artist I saw in Boscastle, Cornwall years ago did oil paintings on slate; looked gorgeous.

Great links Wolf, I've been down the Cheddar caves, but the most impressive ones i've ever been down were in what was Yugolslavia, the Grottos were magnificent! They were and hopefully still are...in whats now called either Slovinia or Croatia.

Hi Peter, it's no problem. I added the Caverns to the database and moved your pictures over. Thanks for adding them.

Poe, thanks, that was quick.

Ruth and Wol, thanks for the links. Had a look at them and they were great.

Paul, another neat place to visit is Wookey Hole in the mendips. Well worth a visit. But make sure if you go, that there has been a couple of days with no rain. If it rains, even ten miles up away up the mendips, The caves flod to the roof and you cant get in.
