Can't Use Smilies

I know it's a little silly, and doesn't really matter, but I can't seem to be able to use the smilies in my posts.  I've clicked and clicked on them, the little box with the smilies comes up, I click the one I want, but then it goes away, and there is no smiley in my post.  I don't know why.  Is there something I need to do to enable them?

I have noticed sometimes I can not use the ones on here either Norajean i dont know how to fix the problem sometimes it would work and sometimes not so i just downloaded smiley central so i could just use my own...Sorry;-(

Maybe Ron or some one else knows...

I've been hving the exact same problem as norma Jean the past week or so; Everything works, bar the smilie doesn't appear as in my example now.

 This morning it's working agian ---duh !

  Debbie, I downloaded Smiley Central, I've avoided it in the past because it installs something on your browser bar, and wants to take over your search engine and stuff like that, but I'll try it.

Thanks for helping guys, I haven't tried the smilies today, I'll check...nope, nothing.
