But the way it turns our, well, I'm afraid we all have the same experience. The old saying is, "You can't go home again." It no longer exists, as you observed in your ending. Sometimes the memories are sweeter. I always felt I grew up in a special place and I'm so grateful for those childhood memories. In those days, one could wander all day on the moors--no one knew where you were, it was quite safe. Off after breakfast, home for supper. What freedom I enjoyed. How sad that some young people these days will never know or enjoy such freedom. |
