Brian May is the best rock guitarist ever bar none! I know you know who Paul Rodgers is - lead singer for Free, Bad Company, the Firm? "All Right Now," "Can't Get Enough of Your Love," "Movin' On, among others? Ring any bells? A lot of people are a little put off that anyone could sing for Queen other than Freddie, but Paul R fits in just fine in his own right. He doesn't try to be Freddie, but, of course, nobody could. Go on to YouTube and check them out. |

I had never heard the song "Pretty Amazing Grace"; it's really lovely isn't it? I did like Queen but can't say they are my favorite group ever. Although I really loved some of the stuff they recorded for the "Highlander" series, especially "Who Wants to Live Forever"...a haunting ballad that. |

Those were their best. Judging from your picture, they may be a little before your time, when they were in their heyday. Denzil - I'm intrigued. Tell us about the Travellers. Do they have a Freddie lookalike? I think it would be a very ambitious thing to try to imitate Queen, esp. Freddie. Are you going to any of their shows in the fall? I don't know if any of the concert dates are in Cornwall, but if you check their website, they will have the schedule. |
