As for your question, you'll be fine if you keep fit. 40 seems to be the beginning of the use it or lose it stage of life. But living in Cumbria, that should't be a problem. It doesn't seem like you have any shortage of beautiful places to hike with a feast for the eyes around every corner. So have a great one! I am going to agree with Ruth and tell you to do all you can to keep fit. I have let myself go a little, but will get back to my fit state really soon, but the key is not to let yourself go to start with. I found my 40's to be the best years of my life, and I think that allot of women feel the same way. Don't fret over it just enjoy it. My favourite: Pictures \| Towns \| Attractions

Being 40 is not the end of the world, I cant even remember being 40, I just take each day as it comes and live life to the full as far as I can. Dont worry about yesterday, its gone so nothing you can do about it, dont worry about tomorrow cos its not here yet, just take each day as it comes and enjoy yourself!! There's an old saying...
