Ruth, kind of, we don't work with the fire service as they do in the USA, but our main station is connected to the fire station. We then drive out during shift and sit in stand points, when we get a job someone else comes in to fill the gap, when we clear at hospital we can then be sent anywhere in the county! means we do a fair bit of mileage during a shift. Lyn good luck with your full time!!! you to can now become tired and grumpy all the time like me!! Right i'm absolutley kn*****d, so i'm off to bed!! |

Its time that the emergency services got the respect and help that they deserve. Also the pay that reflects the time, dedication and care that they put in to helping us. So thank you to all those who go out of their way to help and save lives. Thanks Jason Mate. |

Yes, Peter, we most certainly take it for granted that we live in parts of the world where there are so many who make it there life's work, saving lives by putting there own lives on the line. Thanks from me, too, Jason. |

I've been away for the past three days and haven't had a chance to catch up on all the posts, and frankly I am so busy at work this moring that I may not be able to "catch up"! So forgive me if I say something that is redundant. Anyway, I am back after a lovely long weekend and glad to get back into the swing with my POE friends. |
