Which is not so surprising considering the trouble they cause me through their failure to deliver correctly addressed mail to me. I do get, as some sort of a consolation prize, mail for many people in the village who do not, and never have, lived at this address, which has been my family home for almost 40 years now. Apparently we have a postie from France, and this seems to be at the root of our troubles. Not to suggest that he doesn't know his numbers, he's very good actually: 'Une... deux... trois...' Now if only we can teach him the english equivalents! |
