For those interested in Stonehenge, the following might be of interest  as a brief summary of recent findings including a better judgement of it's age-----

The monument's original stones were erected in about 2300 BC, it has been discovered - 300 years later than had previously been thought.

Analysis has indicated that the original circle of bluestones was transported to the site from the Preseli hills, 150 miles away in South Wales - an extraordinary feat.

The finding came in an ambitious project, involving the first dig inside the historic stone circle for 44 years.

I should have been an archiologist cos this sort of thing fascinates me! I love watching Time Team with Tony Robinson, and that programme 'What the Romans (or whatever) Did For Us'...really interesting stuff.

Apparently they don't.  A friend of mine who's an archiologist went on a dig with the Time Team and they left the place in a mess.  Some of the stuff they found was not found at all.  It was all for the telly.  She was not impressed.  Don't believe everything you see as being cosha.  But I suppose it makes good viewing.

She was pretty mad about it.  Said she wouldn't do anything like that for the tv again.  She got over it though, ha ha
