The Eagles are my all time favourite band, Wolf.  I have most of their albums and thought the 'Hell Freezes Over' DVD was absolutely amazing!

Here are some song lyrics you might try to fathom

'That little girl's an angel,

And it hurts me to set her free

So you'd better take good care of her,

'Cause she still means the world to me'.

Yes, Wolf, but I prefer the Mary Chapin Carpenter version.

Your's Alan was done here by E.L.O.  Electric Light Orchestra and is called

Don't Make My Baby Blue. There are others that have recorded it.

Karen, not as good as I would have been 20 years ago. Frown

It was done as a rare vocal by the Shadows too, Wolf.

Spot on my friend.  When I was in my teens Rock n Roll was only just taking off, and Cliff and the Shads (originally The Drifters, until they toured the USA) were amongst my favourites.

I have to admit defeat with your lyrics.  You're much too good at this (and much too knowledgeable) for me.  Either that or it's just that my memory has upped sticks and left me!

Wondered where you had been hiding Ruth. Bet you like him too.

An oldie but who sang and what song ?:-

The preacher talked to me and he smiled,
Said, come and walk with me, come and walk one more mile.
