Just a reminder to all of those involved in the Christmas gift exchange, especially those who are mailing overseas.

Christmas is coming up quick.

This was a fun thing do do two years ago. In a letter from Shirley she asked if we would be doing this again this year. I think it is a lovely idea. You can do things for others without it being expensive. Even homemade goodies are a special treat.

What do you think Cathyml? Would anyone be interested in a Christmas present swap?

Pouty I am so sad, I missed the deadline for the Christmas gift exchange.  I was having problems with my internet, and then it just went down completely...just got it fixed.  I would have liked being a part of the gift exchange.

Your not late, Delores. The posts previous to Cathy E's are from 2008, when we first did a gift exchange.

Keep an eye on this thread, as Cathy E may get something organised.

I think this could be great, but we would have to be careful about postage costs not making it impossible.  And I am quite concerned about getting parcels actually delivered here.  Things have a way of disappearing - i.e. not sure if this is still the situation but even Amazon.com stopped sending any orders to SA because they vanished.

For instance so far I have only received postcards from Peggy (Peggy's was in an envelope) & Shaun - and am really wondering what has happened to those from the USA/Holland.

I'm sorry Cathy. Maybe if I placed the card in an envelope. It is so sad that you can't always get your mail.

What we should do is take a vote and see who would be interested?
