Following  your welcome  comment on my Derwentwater picture Jason (thanks) ------- I apologise for the  weather when you were in  the Lakes -----but that's the Lakes for you!!   One day rain, rain & more rain --not to mention the fog----next day beautiful sunshine.!!!  These pictures were actually taken in November 2006  ( as were most of my other lakes  photos on this site ) and the day before had been so  atrocious that I had almost turned around and come home !! 

I'm going to the South Lakes , (away from the crowds) this weekend so I'll be prepared for all weathers ----so wait & see!

Thanks Lorraine!!  i know it always rains in the lakes!! but it was exceptional! even for the lakes!! Surprised  I've been lucky most times up there, and the sun has shone!!! or it has at least shown its face!!! Laughing
