Yes Cathy, used by the British Royal Navy for ships and submarines, although during the reign of the Kings it would relate to His Majestys Ship, today Her Majestys Ship.............but now weve run out of steam!

I've never heard of POS Cathy, what does that mean apart from the explanation in your post of course. How would it be used in a sentence?

Ah, I think I just worked it out Cathy. It's telling your friend, colleague, or school chum that your parents are watching eg POS! Yes that's it, isn't it?
