Did you put it in the freezer so that you can take it out in July and hit somebody you don't like in the face with it?

It's been snowing in Berkshire now for a few hours but just turning to slush. We'll probably have a heatwave next week followed by a water shortage 2 days later, blamed on the wrong type of snow.

I use to get the kids all gathered up here and we'd make an space rocket and spread sparkler's left over from the 4th of July around the base and light them off come dusk... Then blast into the thing with an snowball fight..most often boys against the girls. Ever played "football" in the snow...it's an chilling game of sheer delight, wear a baggy coat to hide the ball under our arms with..hee hee! It got pretty wild at times just trying to find out who had the football to tackle. Then Richie said up the street, me and my two friends against your 20 some kids and snow fort...I said "yes"...little did I know they were going to drive by in an car slowly, doors open, windows down like shields, throwing snowballs, and run OVER our street fort!!! I called "us" the winners...due to outside influences beyond our control....that I thought borderlined under-handed "snow" games...meaning the car naturally. We use to have some fun though...and I might say, an pretty girl show up and the boys were all over her trying to see if she was hiding the football in her arms..frisking her, we had to make them mind their p's and q's for that also..such are the guys!!! I don't think the girl's mind it to much though...they'd take off running in groups backed by snowballs to throw atthem to keep their distance.  I use to sit up hot cocoa on the BBQ outside, and straw was $3 an bale and we'd sit around the grilland get warmed up and drink our hot cocoa an talk also. People up the street use to have wolves that they'd practice with an dog sled team with and they would come around the corner also, and late late at night some kind of small ATV's also. Then later yet  and everyone is asleepandthe snow has covered all our playing in it, and made the pines trees laden in the moonlight with the most beautiful and serene look. Hubby and I would be having an "drink" and playing Golf on the old Commadore 64, he'd asked me if I was ever going to get out of the woods..I swear those games now are much improved. We'd take some time out to look at icicles on the patio door hanging down in intricate shapes. Look at the snow ladentrees bowing over and see the silence and peacefulness of the evening. Stoke up our fireplace and call it an good evening.
