As you can guess this is something that I feel quite strongly about, here is a little thing I threw together today when I had not much to do.

 Remembrance day here is tomorrow
a day that will be filled with sorrow,
for those brave, who did not return
but in our memories ever burn.

A sacrifice they made its true
they gave their lives for me and you
so we could live in peace again
don't tell me it was all in vain.

In war they say, there is no glory,
but doesn't seem to end the story.
I'll go before I get too soppy
I'll spare a thought, and wear a poppy.

I go every year Lyn, and will continue to do so. My dad served in the second world war and lost a lot of his friends and comrades. Sadly he's no longer with us, all the more reason for me to remember them for him.

I went with my Dad too, and I still make sure I buy my poppy every year! Lets hope that as the generations change this tradition will not be forgotten!

I'm certain it won't be forgotten Lyn. All those lost in Ireland, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq will be remembered, as will those that will inevitably die in future conflict.
