This is a terrible story but many years ago while on one of my jaunts across country, I was traveling through Utah with a friend. We hit traffic at a time when there really shouldn't have been any traffic, so we figured there must have been an accident of some kind. Sure enough, about an hour and a half later we came upon a horrifying crash scene when a horse trailer caring several horses had rolled over and caught fire. There was the smell of burning horse flesh and one animal had been completely decapitated.  No humans were hurt.

I remember feeling physically ill, but a simultaneous reaction was anger that these poor creatures has suffered so while the humans transporting them got off with a few bruises. I looked at my friend and said, I wish it were humans instead of horses out there.

Sorry! I got off topic! Foot in mouth

Oh god!! I would have lost it if I ever saw that!!!

No, i went to a person who'd broken her leg in a small country lane, because her horse had fallen on her, the horse had died suddenly and just fell on her, now don't get me wrong we treated her, and felt for her, but i felt sick about the horse!

Also been to a jockey, the horse was put down, it was horrible, so your not on your own Diana.

Oh Good. I was afraid I'd be boycotted after that confession! LOL!

Okay, back to the thread:  I am torn between Biblical Archeology, Historian, and Interior Decorating.

It's so hard to treat a horse for broken legs and such. At my aunts stable there was a horse called Slammer who of course slammed into an fence and broke his leg. They didn't put him down but tried to save him but he spent the rest of his life strung up in the corner of the riding ring...on his back with his hind leg stung up!! So we had to ride past this horse during our lessons and it was heartbreaking!! He didn't survive his injuries. He died just a few months after the accident. I will never forget the sight of him laying there helpless!!

Krissy, I almost put down Theology as well. I am fascinated by our Judeo Christian heritage, or anything spiritual really! I think your Sammie is showing remarkable maturity at such a young age!
