Here's another fab horse shot by Gary Watkins - I'm putting this one up for you, Sue.  According to Gary's description, the village in the background is Box.  Didn't you say that's one of the places you always visit?

I absolutely love this shot!

Great memory Ruth, but I go to Box in Wiltshire and gary's shot is in a different county.

More fab horses - I love the lighting in this one and how you can see the horses' breath.

1EE69952.jpg Helen's foal picture by iceni_queen

My boyfriend's sister's mare had a foal about 3/4 weeks ago. She sent me this picture yesterday and I am off to meet this gorgeous creature next saturday if she isn't busy with dressage. Fingers crossed!

Rievaulx Abbey with horses, North York Moors.

This is one of my very, very favorite pictures here on POE.  I love the beautiful horses, but I especially love the contrast with the old abbey (Rievaulx Abbey) in the background.  In America, this would be a major tourist site, probably with a parking lot surrounding it, there definitely wouldn't be horses grazing around it!  It's just so amazing to me!
