Too many tensions and frictions lately. I don't think that the subjects we used to talk about up to a month ago were more or less interesting than the current ones, on average, but people enjoyed posting whenever they got the chance or they felt to, even willing to work their way through job and daily duties to find a moment and drop a message. We might have got 3 silly threads a day but then someone would sure come up with the one bound to last for 25 pages of tight discussion. Now, I get the feeling that a good number of regulars don't feel to do that anymore because they are no longer at their ease as they used to, everyone for their own different reasons. The boredom is the effect and not the cause. From that, less fun for them and hence for us, because keeping the threads alive in these conditions, actually, has become a bit more difficult. |

I think it has more to do with our lifestyle than anything else. For example over the Christmas period, indeed the run up to it and then the celebration itself over several days means that we could be away from our PC's. Then as in our own family we have had eleven members down with flu and/or a good head cold, that in fact is still hanging on some weeks later! Under those circumstance's, with children or elderly parents to look after at this time of year, you don't feel like doing very much let alone being funny in the POE forum. Then the economy, the weather, next years holiday arrangements, the ongoing bad news throughout the world there seems to be no end to it. One thing is for sure, more and more new members are registering with POE. They enjoy the pictures already submitted to this great website and the wealth of information provided, as well as the fantastic welcome that they receive from the membership and I don't know of another website that has that sort of caring family attitude. Therefore, lets not talk our way into a problem.......there isn't one! |

It's just that now I am back on my feet (literally), I am back into my normal routine and not sitting on top of the computer like I was when I was recuperating, so you finally get a break from my incessant posts and smiles . |
