My middle son Aaron is the only football fan - he loves West Bromwich Albion! My cousin has moved in next to the daughter of one of the players in the 1931 FA Cup winning Baggies team. She let Aaron hold the replica cup - he was so excited! |

My sister in-law was freinds with an Canadian whose brother was on their national football league. I think football is more American..and sometimes I think it's long and drawn out so guys can fall asleep on the couch watching it also!!!..."gotta" see that game you know..ZZzzzzz Smiles* |

It could be that your right about the things we are exposed to growing up . Having said that I have watched other sports and been able to make sense of them and their various rules and conventions . When it comes to American football I am just lost and worse cant seem to find the enthusiasm to work out whats going on lol . |

Not quite as low as Scarborough mind you but I've been to the Hawthorns and seen West Brom play, and also my own team Birmingham City when they were in the old second division under Barry Fry. I still enjoy watching the odd televised game of footy when i can, but don't really follow it much except keeping tabs on the blues position now and then. A belated but very warm welcome to the site by the way! Glad to see you're enjoying it. |
