Madeira is on my plans too, but the flights there are way to expensive for us. The Azores are kind of out of reach for now for the same reason. I just have to stick to the continental part of Portugal. About our National Football Team, well... we're going through a hard tim, really. Lost 6-2 to Brazil last week. But I still support them, kind of... |

Who knows Cathy, who knows? In the meantime, you can count on the odd postcard, once in a while. |

Maybe someday I can get there..but for now,.. nursing myself with an "ailment" I came down with recently. |

That's highly arguable, but if that is their best, then my friend... we're doomed when it comes to football. |

She loved it . I would love to see some of the historical sites around Portugal , especially those from the Napoleonic Wars Its a pain being a football supporter isnt it Maria ? Your team gets your hopes up and then , boom ! They let you down again ! But we still hold on to hope , however foolish it might be ! |

We have a wide selection of historical sites around here, I haven't been to a lot of sites from the Napoleonic Wars, or at least the ones where it's impact is clearer. I'll look up some photos for you. As for football, I really can't complain. My team FC Porto has been national champion for some years now and it's one of the top Portuguese teams. The national team however has been a bit of a disappointment, or maybe our expectations are too high. |
