do with your christmas cards??  recycle them?  bin them?  save them?

not long ago, i saw a craft thingy where you can make "pockets" to store credit cards in.  have not tried it yet, but might give it a go...

Funny you should ask this today, as about half an hour ago I sat down and cut up many of my Christmas cards. Some of them are just too beautiful to throw away, even in the recycle bin.

Some of the smaller ones I will use as gift tags next year, and the larger ones I am going to use as thank you postcards to send to people who gave me Christmas gifts.

Yes, that's a great idea, Sue.  There's a home for troubled children in Nevada that I always sent mine to for years and years.  The children there recycled them into new Christmas cards that they used as fundraisers.  But they don't take them anymore.  So the ones that are personalized or have letters in them I keep, the rest end up in the recycle, sorry to say.

I save mine until the next year when I am sending cards so I may think of those people all year. Then I think I might try some of Sue's ideas. They sound great!

Same here Lyn G. Some of the shops used to have bins for cards for charities, but they dont seem to do it any more. So its recycle bin for them now.

I used to keep cards for years and years, but that got old after having to pack them up to move. Now I recycle. It's the memory of the person who sent them that counts, after all.

I was the same as you Diana. I still keep the special ones. I will be keeping my ones from my POE friends. Terry, the boys, my Mom and sister usually make them so I keep theirs. I salvage any bits off the others that I like because I make my own cards. Aaron loves snowmen so we make a new snowman collage every year for his room. The rest I give to the Dudley MS society as the people there make their own cards.
