I will never forget saving money to buy an fine furniture custom-made "white" sofa..for me it was expensive, I was young back then, and the first time I had an couple over for dinner, we went in and I served an small dish of an whipped jello dessert and the guy spilled some of the red jello into my sofa, which I found out AFTER they had left, it stained it permanetly..or the time I used my grand-father's inheirtance from him and some of my own money to buy furniture with to match, Namely an huge wall bookcase, and diningroom table and chairs, two end tables and an long coffee table...and the coffee table was raked down it with my hubby's neices wheelchair, (less then one hour old) while I was at work, but the company did replace it...thinking maybe they had done the damage.., and another person I knew took all the kids and had them carve in an old unfinished table to finish it off as an keepsake, so my son came home and being an little kid, carved into my formal diningroom table. I was so mad, you can't imagine how "angry" I was, because I knew I'd never have another table like this one, and it was ruined. And I don't have an table like it since then either. Because I like fine things like this, I am often told that I "think I'm better then everyone else"...which is not the truth, but rather I enjoy well made items. I enjoy "Art" work in all its forms. I spent better then one year in shcollearning about homedecor, and the different "periods" of funriture and house building techniques torugh the ages (including castles). Most people do have better things then I am able to afford. No one has ever "given"me an thing", like many others get in life at times, so I've learned to take care of what little I have. But I have learned the hard way, people think of themsevles first and they are right down "vicious" if they think you have something they don't...and they prove it to me all the time. Especially around my own house. Seldom have they ever replaced the damage they have caused.. You know what my step-mother thought of my parents house, after dad died, she got an huge dumpster and threw most of it away, I was barely able to catch my mother and father's sterling sliver tea set from their 25th wedding anniversary(I cleaned it up and gave it to my older sister) as it was going out the door, totally black from being tarnished, and then afterward, she announced one day, that HER family would take care of things from now on...more or less "get lost"...and so it was. I've never went down there since that day..she's never called. I really don't care any more either...now I have my own health issues daily to deal with. since my dad was taking care of my sister's things, they got that also, and threw it away we think, out the door went her granduation pictures, childhood memento's and her jewerly, and some of my mother's as well, and an small golden locket I'd bought her that was hand needlepoint done on the 18 k. gold case with an specialty made picture of my parents on the inside..it took me going to an photographer to get it sized correctly for the locket. All gone. I use to feel devestated, but any more I realize that nothing means nothing to anyone these days...except perhaps for another dollar.

Chavs, pikeys and scallys are all the same sort of 'people' and just get called the different names depending on what part of UK you come from. Here in Liverpool they are known as scallys. Basically, they are the dregs of humanity. Feral youth. Sadly, most of our inner cities are blighted with them. |
