Debbie, I hope to enjoy some nice (modest) rain storms while at my mom's house.  She has two porches, and if it's just a gentle rain I love sitting on the porch watching it rain.  The trip is for fun, not work, thankfully.  Just R&R hanging out with my mom (she turns 77 on Monday).  The humidity is creeping back into our weather up here too later today.  Well, it is mid-July after all!  We've been quite lucky so far I think.

1. Glad this morning is over. Planning and putting together a funeral luncheon for 150 people is allot of work and allot of stress.

2. And now to prepare for tonight, and my son's 18th birthday celebrations.

3. Sunday is definitely going to be a day of rest for me, just like the good Lord intended; and I'm really looking forward to it.

Who passed on Sue?...or you do this for an living or something, or through your church...arrange for "wakes".  Yes. this Sunday s speaking to me of "resting" also. I spent most of tuesday on the phone feeling like I was attacked by the medical society you know. I went in for some anti-biotics and got sent home without them, being told maybe it's not that I'm "sick" but
heart failure" and here I was coughing up balls of phelm..I was mad as an bull on an china shop as they say. I called up my health insurace coach and told them I felt it was unecessary to see me for "nothing" and we talked some about that an my health, and my primary doctor, and my cardioligist. and everything in general. Obama came out that he wants to do like they do in Massachuestts yesterday an "fine" any employer that doesn't carry insurance. Watch the businesses that are on the brink of going under shut their doors. I have an lot of possible ill-will for what's being said from past expereince on what he's doing right now.,Biggest thing is how are people if he makes it mandatory to carry health insurance going to pay for something if they don't have jobs or are self-employed not making enough money to buy it. Finaical advisors tell you that the biggest "hoax" of them all is any kind of insurance, your paying double the money most the time then what the benefits are. Unless you can deduct what your payin gout, it's an bad expense, also car insurance. Same for house insurance. You may be throwing neeed moeny out the door..it's that risky. By that I mean it might be nice to have it if you need it , but what if in 20 years you never use the stuff. If you took that same  money and invested it you'd end up with three times the amount earned. Many whom have higher incomes have done that route also. There is an man out here, that keeps $100,000 set aside, because you have to carry car insurance or prove you have $100,000 to be un-insured...well, he keeps the money..and in the process earns off it in an money account "interest". How the rest of us wish we could have that much to do much the same..instead of amking those $200 monthly payments and hope and pray we never have to use it. 10 years of of that is $24,000..what we couldn't do right now with it.  it would pay off many an credit card. That's just one, there's home insurance, boat insurance and health insurance, they add up. But I guess we will have to wait an dsee what it's all about I do suppose. I don't like the idea that people have to pay out of their pocket different kinds of medicare palns on Social Security also. that seems an bit unfair. My freind had that happen, they didn't take out package B and her hubby had an heart atack unexpectly...she looked at me and said quietly depressed..there goes our family home I guess you know.  He left her..gave her the house and divorced her.  That way she could finsih raising her kids should they have any more health problems...without them touching their few posessions. This sets up an weaker nation down the road when people can not let their children inheirt things they built up over the years. Remember generations that have lived in the "family " home taking care of others in the family so they could get up and on thier feet?...I do. Especially in New York, they have the hugest and biigggest homes I've seen across this country...the older homes in particular.  teh little gal I mentioned here soem time back, that thier granmother's family home was burned down by an arson, and the kids didnt' inheirt an thing from her remarrying and it went to his side..well,they also took in an "Linda Fox" and her son..Nathan..when granny died and they all got tossed out wiht no where to go, Linda was one of them. they buried her this last week...all their next generation has been ito "Scouting" also I might add, I guess we started something maybe..Linda had diabetes, but they had her looking so good and it under control last time I ran into her and we talked where everyone had scattered to after being asked to leave, ...she is several years younger then I am if I remember correctly. I wonder if they'd had  the house as of yet, if this would of happened. A bit late now I guess. The ground still sets empty, even with it burnt. It's an estate home that carries the "spirit" of its past owners...rather those whom own now, it like it or not.
