I am wearing a green (one of my best colors anyway) shirt and found a lovely photo of Castle Kinvara in County Clare which I put up as my computer background.  And there you have it -- the extent of my celebration!

I think the drinking is an bit much myself, but they chose every and any occasion now to drag out the liquor, not just St Patty's Day ...I'll most likely make something to eat to celebrate, if not an Cornbeef sandwhich and split pea soup...something simple..you guys remember, I worked with an Irish war bride for many years, she was an very ardent Catholic also. I have no idea if she's even around any more due to age..she has had quite an life. she was young when she sailed the ocean blue to come to America...we don't think to much of it these days, but in her day, I considered her very brave. Her faith sustained her well through the years...it was not your ususal type "faith" as we think of it in terms these days though. Ask her what she thought of religion these days and she'd shake her head in disgust. Here's to you Peggy!..whereever your at these days.

We should make it our mission to convert all posters, esp. the U.Kers to become Yankee fans.
