gosh do I ever wish you were around to help me renovate my 11 foot camper ..I could use the help, and they tore it to smitherinns one year thinking about making the back of it an ramp to load up an small ATV oen the grandkids owns for hauling, left the project an it set out in front of my son's friends house and when I insisted they bring it back, they told me the only thing it was good for was tossing out. I bought it new, drove it across country twice and it's been an small weekend trip here or there otherwise, the walls are in good shape..woodwork, can't say that for the floors and back bathroom and over head section...whcih my hubby tried to peice together again, I have seen these older rigs on trucks painted all white, and they look much newer then you would think, mthe truck that goes to this cmaper is on the other side of the yard, it runs but it's tore up pretty good also, needs an new hood to it, and tires, I think they said they had those, windshield. It was bought brand new in 1966..with being an "camper special" double gas tanks and better transmission for hauling..it's and 3/4 ton. I have seen these these kinds of trucks lower by kids for street trucks also. it's an 350 engine in it, not the big one, but still an gas hog. I though maybe someday, if they could get the parts one of the grandson's could make it all electric. In which case we'd buy another newer used trunk for the camper. You look like you work "magic" on vehicles in the renovating them. I didn't say much when they rore the bathroon out o fit, I've always wanted to make it's walls and floor into one of those shower bathroom units, and wanted to put an outside flap door for dirty laundry, so you could change in there, bath in there, do the whole morning routine in there. Needs new camper side jacks also. If I could take our tailer and beside it build an deck to accomadate an deck as long as it is, put an fireplace in one end of it, enclose it in with sliding glass screened patio doors/roof, and at the end build an docking section for the camper..I move each unit separately if need be..I could use the camper for an snack bar, bathroom and twin bed, and queen bed, the trailer for another queen bed, kitchen ...full bathroom, double bed in back...and the patio area for an lvinigroom picnic table area...and then I could enclsoe the whole thing in one set of fencing and it woul dmake an nice private mountain retreat. It is for that reason I've not tossed them due to age...plus the grandson coming up in age...with enviorment like it's been here lately, I see an lot of people losing their vacations home to land slides, fires, and floods here See one of those projects you got me started in talking about.
