I play with them at Wegmans....but never bought any. Wouldn't know what to do with them other than to throw them at people.

Ever had star fruit?

I've never had kumquat or a star fruit, but then I am not much of a fruit lover. I do like melons though!

I've eaten them both, you must have the new kind of kumquats, because the kind I buy are ususally green, but I know that they raise them in an orange variety...they re areally high in potassium, which is something I need constantly. Yes, I use the green ones in slice withs fresh orange or payaya slices and fresh strawberries on cinnamon french toast with an "dash" of Powdered sugar...few susage links in the summer outside breakfast.  As for "Star fruit" I use to have an non-alcoholic drink using that in an slice for the  champagne glass inside of it, and an an purpre grape on pick.  ..using white grape juice and toinic water or selzer..been an while since it made it...it was low-calorie stuff. Looked exotic though. star fruit here is very expensive in ways.Oh..oh.., I think I'm thinking of Kiwi fruit instead of Kumquats maybe. Do we call kumquats over here "persimmons" by any chance? I'll have to go an look this up I guess.
