Just opposite you can cross country ski down into Lake Trillium...you do "ski" don't you?... If your smart you'll bring along your trusty steed and have him pull you back up the hill from his leash...help you out an bit. Beautiful once you get to the Lake... Serene and silent and just gorgeous. You can sit on the top of the road signs and rest a bit in the sunshine amoung huge snowladen forrested trees. In the summer time it's an campground, with an complete boardwalk around the Lake.We use to go fishing there with my dad before they renovated it and dad said they ruined the fishing. Never did allow motor boats on the Lake. By then the road signs you use to sit on are way above your head in the sumertime. I think that pristine water has an lot to do with the sizing of fish you catch also. Anway, you cut off the heads and clean them and while your fishing along the outter bank, you take along your small BBQ Grill and cook them with bacon wrapped around them and some fried taters and an few eggs for Breakfast...with an good hot steaming cup of coffee and next to have everyone over following your every move as you do it, wanting an bit of it themselves. Then after that everyone settles down again making "bets" on rather I'm going to actually hook an "live" worm or use bait "eggs" again. They don't beleive me when I tell them that I can hear them crying Rick, but I think I do..and I just can't stand to see the little ones curling up in agony...you do understand don't you? |
